My family and I had the privilege to spend the weekend at Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in the Poconos! All I can say is WOW! We had an awesome time! My kids did not want to leave. They had a great time.
Kalahari's indoor waterpark is our favorite so far. There is something for everyone! Adults and all! Water fun, arcade, food, sweets and more!
When we arrived we checked in, but our room wasn't ready and that was okay. You can start using the water park as soon as you receive your bracelets. The resort will text you when your room is ready. How convenient is that?! We first relaxed by the outdoor pool, by laying in the sun and enjoying a cocktail from the pool bar. The kids had so much fun splashing around in the pool. The outdoor pool went from about 2 feet deep to about 3.5 feet deep. The area was filled with tables covered by umbrellas as well as lounge chairs. We just relaxed along with other friendly families.
Next we moved indoors, to experience the water slides, lazy river, jacuzzis, and the climbing playground area. We had a blast in this area. From slides, shooting water at people, a lazy river, playing water basketball to relaxing in the jacuzzi! There really is something for everyone. Kalahari even has a toddler section for the little ones!
After all this swimmimg and playing around in the water, sure made my kids hungry! Kalahari has some great restaurants and buffet courses right there in the resort. No leaving the resort to enjoy a family dinner. We then enjoyed some time in the arcade, as well as some icecream for a night time snack! YUMMY!
