Purses for Nurses

Donate your unwanted purses. Collecting purses until Dec. 18th

September 22, 2016
How many of you have purses or handbags sitting around collecting dust because they are out of style or just because we have so many of them? If you were able to help make a lasting improvement on global healthcare, would you donate your unwanted purses/handbags?

Melissa Zuk, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of “Purses for Nurses” is on a mission to do just that! Melissa went to school at the University of Nevada, Reno for nrusing. She is currently a R.N. at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, Ted Talks and she believes in power of a good laugh.

So what is Melissa's mission? By re-selling donated purses, volunteer nurses will be able to visit impoverished countries around the world. Volunteer nurses would go to areas where health care services are needed most.  How awesome is Melissa?!

Are you asking yourself how this works? Well here it is.
Step #1: Donated purses are collected.
Step #2: Donated purses are cleaned, priced and then refashioned.
Step #3: The high quality donated purses are sold on in the online store.
Step #4: Profits send volunteer nurses abroad to care for communities in need.
Step #5: Our world becomes a happier, healthier place!
