45 Pies in 45 Days

What is this, you ask?

Dianna D'Amico, youth and community organizer, serving at risk youth in low income communities from Brooklyn to Suffolk County.

The reason for her mission is to create campaigns that provide healthy fresh food to families that struggle to obtain it. Always thinking outside the food drive box! Dianna is a Sachem graduate, currently living in Holtsville. I roll with my two assistants, Starr Fuentes and Kristina Caraballo, both sachem high school students.

45 Pies In 45 Days is simply a Pie-raising campaign that will provide over 200 pies to various temporary housing sites and senior day care centers before Thanksgiving. We ask that people sponsor a pie for 10 dollars, after they sponsor a pie they may purchase pies for themselves. We are doing this to empower people to go back to their communities and spread love! We want the people receiving the pies to know that we consider them our neighbors and that we care very much.

We are an official campaign and
have attracted media attention and support from local businesses, such as Holbrook Diner, La Campaninna Holtsville, Joe's Pizza in Holbrook, Allstate Izzy Caraballo Agency of Medford, Greek Islands Diner of Wading River, Benkerts of Centereach, Idovideony.com (event videography) and Sachem East High school.

Do you want to participate and donate to this awesome campaign?  If so, visit Dianna's GoFundMe page www.gofundme.com/fs0cdc
