Wax figures’ return marks kick-off for special VIP ticket and holiday promotions at the popular Times Square attraction
New York, NY - The Madame Tussauds wax figures of globally renowned British pop boy-band, One Direction, has made a holiday-spirited return to New York at Madame Tussauds New York (234 W. 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenues in Manhattan). Dozens of Directioners from a Bauer Xcel Media contest have officially welcomed Harry, Niall, Zayn, Liam and Louis to the Big Apple in a winter wonderland scene complete with mistletoe.
Back by popular demand, One Direction’s wax figures will sit amid an iconic wintery Central Park backdrop, and will don festive attire for their time in New York through mid-January. After making their initial New York debut in July 2013, the figures’ return has topped the wish-lists of thousands of fans and visitors.
The figures’ return marks the kick-off for a limited-time-only premium 1D VIP ticket that includes a 1D poster, jumbo souvenir photo with the figures, and a Madame Tussauds Guidebook. Additionally, throughout the month of December, visitors and Bauer Xcel Media contest winners will be invited to share their festive 1D photos across their social media platforms @NYCwax with #Winter1Dland to win prizes weekly.
