A New Year and a New Year Calendar

By Allison Tursi, Holbrook Macaroni Kid Publisher Mom January 3, 2020

Happy New Year! I hope 2021 is a great year for you. This year I hope to bring you many new events for you to do with your families and fill up your calendars (or your phones). I may be one of the few people who still use a planner and calendar at home. The idea of storing my schedule in my phone just doesn’t do it for me.

Every year I make my family calendars (they make great Christmas gifts) with pictures of the kids for each month. Each month I feature 1 kid and I rotate the months each year. I take the pictures each month over the course of the year so when we get to each month the picture is from a year ago (it really shows how much they have grown in a year). I have the kids pose with clothes and accessories and I try to theme each month. I always give each of the kids their birthday month with a picture from their birthday.

I’ve gotten most of my month ideas from Pinterest and have come up with some on my own. Here are some ideas and pictures I’ve taken for my calendar over the years.
