I scream you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

What is summer without ice cream? My family loves ice cream and this summer we have been exploring ways to have fun with ice cream. Here are 9 ice cream ideas for your family.

1. Ice Cream Milkshakes

We frosted cups and rolled them in sprinkles. Then we blended up the ice cream and decorated the rest with sprinkles, candy, and whipped cream. Yum fun!

2. Ice Cream Sandwiches

2 cookies and 1 scoop of ice cream squished between. Delicious!

3. Ice Cream Cake

Bake brownies in a deep tray and let them cool. Next add a layer of your favorite flavor ice cream and freeze.  Then make a layer with your favorite cookies (all crumbled up). Last add a second flavor of ice cream, freeze, and decorate. Tip- slightly melt the ice cream and smooth it out as you make each layer.

4. Banana Nutella Ice Cream

4 bananas peeled, cut, and frozen, then add 4 tablespoons of Nutella. Blend and eat right away or freeze it for later!

5. Brownie Sundae

Bake brownies and serve with a scoop of ice cream. Extra yum if the brownie is still warm!

6. Root Beer Float

Root Beer and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Mix and enjoy!

7. Smoothies

Choose some fruit (strawberries, bananas, berries, etc). Choose a base (milk, water, juice, etc.) Thicken it up (ice, yogurt, ice cream, peanut butter, etc.). Add any extras (protein powder, vanilla, honey, granola, etc.). Blend away!

8. DIY Ice Cream

In a ziplock bag add 1 cup of Half & Half, 1 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract, 1 tbsp of sugar, let the air out and seal. In a larger ziplock fill half way with ice and add 1/4 cup of salt. Put the small bag in the ice and shake for about 5 minutes (wear gloves to keep your hands from freezing). Open, rinse, scoop, and done!

9. Ice Cream Sundae

A few scoops of your favorite flavor ice cream, add sprinkles, candy, and syrup. Decorate and devour!
