The weather is getting nicer and the kids are begging to go outside! Don't know where to go? Here is a list of parks and playgrounds in the area.

Lake Ronkonkoma County Park 6 Lake Shore Road, Ronkonkoma Completely fenced in. Has a large playground for big kids. Smaller playground for the little ones. Right on the lake. Walking trails. Beach area. Swings.
Ronkonkoma Recreation 299 Rosevale Avenue, Ronkonkoma Large playground at the top of the hill for older kids. Smaller playground down by the water for younger kids. Swings. On the beach. Courts. Town Recreation card needed in summer.
Raynor Beach County Park 174 Ronkonkoma Ave, Lake Ronkonkoma Fenced in playground. Swings. Field. Courts. Walking trails. 2nd playground along trails.
Andreoli Park 270 Gibbs Pond Road, Nesconset Fairly new. Has cute little houses for kids to play in. Courts. Swings.
Waltess Estate Park 255 Ronkonkoma Ave, Lake Ronkonkoma Completely fenced in. Courts. Can grab a bite to eat at the local Hot Dog Truck.
Helen B Duffield Elementary School  600 First Street, Ronkonkoma Brand new playground and another larger playground. Baseball fields. Swings.
Slocum Elementary School 2460 Sycamore Avenue, Ronkonkoma Brand new playground and a 2nd smaller one. Swings. Field.
Cherokee Elementary School 130 Cherokee Street, Ronkonkoma Brand new playgrounds. Swings. Field.

Smithtown Library Nesconset Branch 148 Smithtown Blvd, Nesconset Playground fenced in. Swings. Walking trails. Splash Park. Field. May require Smithtown residency ID.
Shorefront Park 49 Smith St, Patchogue Pirate Ship Playground right on the water. Swings.
Heckscher State Park Heckscher Parkway, East Islip Perfect for a long walk by the water.
Bayard Cutting Arboretum 440 Montauk Highway, Great River Perfect for a long nature walk. By the water. Chickens. Gardens.
Blydenburgh County Park Veterans Memorial Highway, Smithtown Hiking trails. Playground. Picnic areas. Pond.
Clifton H. Lee Memorial Park "Rocketship Park" 121 W Broadway, Port Jefferson Playground. Picnic. Courts.
Diamond in the Pines Park 1844 Route 112, Coram Playground. Large field. Picnic tables. Walking Trails.

West Meadow Beach West Meadow Beach Road, Stony Brook Playground. Walking trails. Spray Park. Courts. Town of Brookhaven Beach parking sticker or pay for parking.	Hoyt Farm 200 New Highway, Commack Playground. Spray Park. Fields. Walking Trails. Animals. Smithtown residency required.
Shipwreck Cove S Clinton Avenue, Bay Shore Playground. Spray Park. By the water. Picnic Tables. Town of Islip parking sticker or pay for parking. Additional fee for spray park.
Connetquot River State Park 3525 Sunrise Hwy, Oakdale Perfect for a long nature walk. Take the yellow trail if you have a stroller.
